Justice for J6 Rally a Dud, Law Enforcement Outnumbered Attendees

A rally in support of those arrested during the Jan 6 attack on the Capitol attracted only a few hundred people. The police presence was far larger.

The “Justice for J6” rally attracted only a few hundred people as law enforcement and journalists apparently far outnumbered protestors.

Four people were arrested on either weapons charges or outstanding warrants during the rally.

The Huffington Post and The Atlantic covered the rally as a dud, emphasizing the massive police presence engulfing the number of actual protestors.
CNN’s analysis of the rally focused on anything but the rally, rehashing old grievances as an excuse to criticize Republican politicians.

RedState reported what they jokingly called “fedbois” attending the rally undercover. They noted one person detained by Capitol Police was likely to have been an undercover officer after pulling what looked like a badge out of his pocket.
Fox News included extensive remarks from the rally’s organizer, who argued a number of those arrested in connection with the Jan 6 attack on the Capitol are still being held for “non-violent offenses.”
The Washington Examiner’s coverage of the event noted no members of Congress attended but that a handful of candidates did. Joe Kent of Washington told the crowd he would vote for Jim Jordan or Jim Banks for Speaker.
