Hunter Biden’s stolen laptop and emails have made the news again. Politico is pretending they’ve scooped New York Post’s year-old exclusive.
Summary
Politico allegedly broke a big bombshell (which the New York Post actually broke last year) that the Hunter Biden laptop and email scandal spiked by Big Tech was at least partially accurate.
- Politico claims “it remains possible that fake material has been slipped in” to a trove of leaked emails.
- Emails between President Biden’s son and business partners detailing Chinese and Ukraine business interests were confirmed by a third party who was in receipt of emails from Hunter Biden.
- The Politico reporter whose corroboration is now being treated as a new story has written a book about the Bidens.
- ???? ???? ????
- Left-leaning outlets effectively ignored this story in its entirety.
- The Atlantic recently published an article warning of the “headache” Hunter’s art show and possible six-figure sale of his work could be for the White House.
- The New York Post editorial board skewered Politico and the mainstream media for their reporting on this entire saga, pointing out the many facts about the story the Post broke Politico is now considering scoops.
- Townhall’s Guy Benson called the media’s handling of the Hunter Biden laptop story a scandal, saying “respectable” journalists took their orders from the Biden campaign and baselessly called it “Russian disinformation” while Big Tech muzzled the New York Post.
- In reporting Politico’s fake scoop, Fox News noted the massive pushback from “former senior intelligence officials” saying the Post’s original reporting was a “Russian information operation” and that many of those former officials “work as analysts on MSNBC and CNN.”
Author’s Take
Here we go again. Often you can see bias not just in what is said, but what is not said. In this case, the mainstream media and their allies in Big Tech are simply going to ignore this story. They can’t call it fake news and spike it as alleged Russian disinformation this time, so they’ll pretend it didn’t happen.
