• The Bureau said it considers the attacks to be “potential acts of domestic violent extremism,” publicly acknowledging the “series of attacks and threats targeting pregnancy resource centers and faith-based organizations across the country” for the first time.
• There have been at least 48 attacks on churches and pro-life organizations across the country in the seven weeks since the unprecedented leak of the Supreme Court’s draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade.
• Leading Catholic bishops, faith-based organizations, and more than 100 House Republicans called on Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate the attacks as acts of domestic terrorism.
• The letter specifically cited two firebombing attacks in Buffalo, New York, and Madison, Wisconsin. The pro-abortion extremist group Jane’s Revenge claimed responsibility for the attacks.
• After the attacks, Jane’s Revenge released a statement declaring “open season” on crisis pregnancy centers and vowed to take “increasingly drastic measures” not “so easily cleaned up as fire and graffiti.”
• Pregnancy centers across the country are preparing for even more violence once the Supreme Court releases the Dobbs decision expected to overturn Roe in the coming days.

• The Washington Post wrote the recent wave of attacks yet again prove true “the biblical teaching that violence only begets violence” and urged the law enforcement to investigate these attacks as terrorist acts.
• The Guardian had an interesting takeaway, to say the least: “experts say that no matter how righteous, extremist protests are risky: they may turn people against the cause.”
• Salon was silent on the attacks on pro-life groups (like many left-leaning publications) but did find the time to claim “religious violence is now at the core of the Republican Party.

• The Wall Street Journal urged the president and Attorney General Merrick Garland to take the threats against pro-life groups seriously, “equally enforce the law” and show “they are not as partisan and ideological as they often appear to be.”
• The Federalist pointed out that the media and law enforcement appear uninterested in attacks on pregnancy centers, unlike other forms of political violence that attract media attention. It’s not hard to imagine how the coverage would be different if abortion clinics were under attack.
• National Review wrote the threats from extremist group Jane’s Revenge could “presage a new ‘Bleeding Kansas’ as “partisans on both sides of the political and cultural divides have been pursuing increasingly violent means of promoting their ideological desires.”
